NILU offers analyses for per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) in synthetic products and environmental samples.
We analyze individual PFAS components and total extractable organic fluorine, as well as help you interpret the results. We also carry out research-oriented assignments, such as developing new analysis methods in collaboration with you.
A selection of the sample types we can analyze for PFAS:
- Sportswear, textiles and shoes
- Impregnating agents (e.g. waterproofing)
- Lubricants (e.g. ski wax)
- Fire-fighting foam
- Soil/sediment
- Water (precipitation/natural water, waste/rainwater, etc.)
- Biological samples (fish, eggs, plasma, animal feed, etc.)
- Air and emissions
- House dust and indoor air
- Furniture, toys and consumer goods
We are constantly expanding the repertoire of sample types we can analyze for PFAS. Contact us if you have new and unusual sample types – we may already have experience with them or can discuss options for developing new analysis methods.
Components we analyze
NILU can analyze more than 50 different PFAS components, including the most well-known PFOS and PFOA. We also offer TOPA analysis (Total Oxidizable Precursor Assay), which allows the identification and quantification of total amounts of PFAS precursors in samples. This provides a comprehensive assessment of the PFAS content and contributes to a deeper understanding of the pollution picture.
See an overview of all components here.
Contact us if you are interested in other PFAS components than those listed. We also offer a variety of pricing plans and discounts depending on the number of samples, individual components and delivery time required.
