NILU Centre for Atmospheric Data is a central hub for atmospheric data and services.
We handle and store observational data from research infrastructures, research projects, campaigns and long-term monitoring programs. Through our in-house data bases, we provide open access to atmospheric data for a wide range of users.
Our goal
We aim to be the most trusted and impactful provider of ground based atmospheric measurement data and services.
By managing and delivering atmospheric observation data from collection point to end users, we contribute to enhanced scientific understanding of atmospheric composition, climate, pollution and environment. Our services span from software and digital tools for data quality control, to analysis, visualization, interpretation and other research activities.
Key expertise and competence
Our key expertise consists of in-depth knowledge on aerosol, cloud and trace gases, ground based and remote sensing earth observations. We are also experts in modelling, data curation and FAIR data handling for air quality and climate monitoring on a national and international level.
We offer the full chain; from data compilation, data management, and data curation to access modules and visualization options.
