BAPMAN Mission 5: Continuous air monitoring operations and advanced emissions training. NILU OR
The Bangladesh Air Pollution Management (BAPMAN) project is an institutional-building project where NILU lends the necessary Air Quality Management (AQM) tools and associated training to the Clean Air and Sustainable Environment (CASE) program at the Department of Environment (DoE). Mission 5 of the BAPMAN project occurred in Dhaka from 26 May - 01 June 2012 where the target of the mission was to begin Task 2 training (CAMS QA/QC), continue Task 1/3 training (AirQUIS emissions and monitoring), and to hold a project workshop to recruit new interested experts at CASE/DoE in future trainings for each project task.

Monitoring of greenhouse gases and aerosols at Svalbard and Birkenes: Annual report 2010. NILU OR
The report summaries the activities and results of the greenhouse gas monitoring at the Zeppelin and observatory situated on Svalbard in Arctic Norway during the period 2001-2010 and the greenhouse gas monitoring and aerosol observations from Birkenes for 2010.
The monitoring programme is performed by the NILU ¿ Norwegian Institute for Air Research and funded by the Norwegian Pollution Control Authority (SFT) (now Climate and Pollution Agency) and NILU ¿ Norwegian Institute for Air Research.

Environmental Management Report 2011. NILU OR
One of NILU's main goals is to study the impact of pollution. It is thus very important for the institute to have control of the impact the institute¿s own activities may have on the environment and to reduce the impact as far as possible.
NILU has for many years been working to reduce the impact. In order to take this one step further, it was decided that the institute should restructure the work according to a relevant environmental standard and to seek certification according to the same standard.
The chosen standard is ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental management systems¿Requirements with guidance for use) and NILU achieved certification according to this standard in October 2010.

Indoor air quality at Life Technologies AS. Measurement of particulate matter. NILU OR
NILU - Norwegian Institute for Air Research has carried out sampling of suspended particles at Life Technologies AS (formerly Invitrogen Dynal AS) in Lillestrøm. The sampling took place at three locations in the production area of the company in the period 31 January ¿ 28 February 2012. Previous investigations of similar kind have been carried out in 2007 and 2010.
The results of the present investigation showed that all of the measured particle concentrations were well below the norms from Arbeidstilsynet. The highest PM2.5 concentration observed was 14.5 µg/m3 during daytime in NIT-280 (50 l reactor), which is clearly below the norm recommended by Norwegian Public Health Institute. None of the PM samples taken at Life Technologies AS showed a value exceeding the company¿s OEL for Dynabeads.
