HENVINET. Evaluation questionnaire - traffic pollution and environmental health. NILU TR
The HENVINET consortium has developed a questionnaire to identify knowledge gaps in the state of the art in scientific knowledge. Literature reviews covered all elements that compose the causal chain of the different environmental health issues from emissions to exposures, to effects and to health impacts. Ultimately, the aim is to discuss the implications of these for policy and research.
In this evaluation we focus on various aspects of the cause¿effect relationship between traffic related air pollutants in ambient air and induction (incidence) of asthma and sensitization to allergens. The questionnaire consists of two separate parts. In Part A, you will be asked to comment on the completeness and structure of the causal diagram illustrating scientists¿ current
understanding of the cause¿effect relationship. In Part B, you will be asked to express your confidence in scientists¿ ability to predict the magnitude of a variety of proposed or potential associations.

CZ0049 - Activity 2. Implementation of a secondary aerosol module in the CAMx model. NILU TR
The objective of project CZ0049 is to improve the characterisation of particulate matter, especially the formation and identification of secondary particles. This report presents our achievements in Activity 2 "Implementation of a secondary aerosol module in CAMx". We have reviewed available SOA smog chamber experiments from the literature and created a new parameterisation for formation of anthropogenic secondary organic aerosols. The new parameterisation has been implemented in the chemistry transport model CAMx. A detailed description of the work, including source code implementation, is given in the report.

Urban air pollution 2000-2015. Results from monitoring and modeling in Oslo and Trondheim. NILU OR
The expected changes in emission profiles for vehicular traffic has been investigated by Ecotraffic on behalf of Statoil. This report gives a trend analysis of monitoring and model results for air quality in Oslo and Trondheim. The period covered is 2000 to 2015, the last third of the period is covered only by modelling. The impact of introduction of bio fuel have been reflected upon, based on the changes in emission profiles given by Ecotraffic. For particulate matter, the introduction of bio fuels will likely contribute to a continuous reduction of ambient air concentrations. For NOX and NO2, introduction of bio fuel will have an adverse effect, and the urban air pollution level of NO2 is no longer decreasing.
