NILU is an interdisciplinary research institute within climate and environmental research. We offer assignments and guidance in a number of subject areas, mainly at master’s and doctoral level.
Master’s Student?
Every year, NILU welcomes several master’s students to us. We offer guidance, shared offices and access to our laboratories and other facilities, in collaboration with universities and colleges at home and abroad. If you have an idea for an assignment, don’t hesitate to contact us.

PhD?
PhD positions linked to projects at NILU are advertised in the same way as other vacancies. You can follow us on JobbNorge and finn.no to be notified when such positions are posted. Do you have a PhD thesis from a university at home or abroad, and would like a supervisor/co-supervisor from NILU? Contact us!
Before the doctoral work can begin, the scheme and the supervisor must be approved by both your educational institution and NILU’s management. We offer guidance, shared offices and access to our laboratories and other facilities. If necessary, we can also help you find dormitories/accommodation and arrange Norwegian learning.
